Industry Landscape
An economic development corporation is a non-profit organization whose goal is to encourage economic growth in a specified geographic area. The purpose of these organizations is to help firms in their particular geographic areas get started, prosper, and grow, hence contributing to economic progress.
Challenge:
Design a brand ID in alignment with the vision of the organization and its mission.
The organization's new Executive Director proposed to change the word "corporation" to "coalition," with the purpose of bringing the region's five cities together to improve the Valley's presence and to increase local collaboration.
Support marketing efforts to ensure that public and private sector partners' interests are aligned with the goals of the organization and the needs of the region.
Solution:
After exploring many variations of the idea of globes, landmasses, and typography, The Branding Hive created a symbol that was round, quirky, and direct. The symbol is clean, and simple and translates well across digital and traditional mediums. The letters "e", "d", and "c" are encapsulated within each other to emulate global cohesion. This vision was brought on by past director Doug Mcallister and lives on today.
RESULTS:
The new brand mark reflects the organization's global & local initiatives of collaborating businesses and opportunities for the benefit of boosting its local economy.
DATA | 300%
